If you liked LW1 and/or LW2, and enjoyed at least some of the mechanics of WOTC then the work that /u/paledbrook and his compatriots have done should really get you excited. It seems pretty obvious to say but if you didn't have fun with these versions of XCOM separately the combination will not result in a sudden awakening in you. The LW2 environment is relatively untouched, and its merger with the WOTC world of the Chosen is challenging to say the least. The merging of WotC and LW2 creates a classic XCOM environment filled with incredible successes and terrifying failures, so if you get easily frustrated with XCOM mechanics it definitely will be hard for you to overcome the increased pressures of LWOTC. Spoiler alert if LW2 wasn't your cup of tea skip this post and LWOTC, seriously.
